Director of Engineering, TV Production & Broadcast

A chance to utilise your breadth of technical knowledge across all aspects of TV – from production to transmission.

An important new broadcaster in an exciting market.

Based: Kabul.

€: package – substantial, and commensurate with the challenge.
Our client is a well-funded business which is about to start broadcasting from newly-commissioned, state-of-the-art studios in Kabul, Afghanistan.

This role carries responsibility for all technical aspects of the company, from studios to final broadcast. You’ll need to build a staff, train them – and make sure the station gets on the air, and stays there.

This is unlikely to be a 9 – 5 job.

The person our client requires will be a highly experienced, well-qualified, TV technical professional who has been there, seen it and done it before. While the prospect of setting up yet another TV station in the West probably isn’t thrilling, the challenge of bringing a station to life in Afghanistan must excite you.

You will need demonstrable experience of all technical aspects of TV production and broadcast including PCRs & MCRs, and transmission systems. Highly developed management skills are also essential, and if these have been honed in International markets, even better.

In exchange for your energy and dedication, you will earn a substantial six figure package which will be customized to suit your specific requirements.
